Gordon Brown's Minister is encouraged by the work of the FEAlliance
The FEAlliance has received positive feedback from the Education Minister Ed Balls following recent talks with the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF-previously DfES).
A spokesperson for the Minister stated that the Department recognised the FEAlliance and its commitment to FE reform. He stated 'It is encouraging that the FEAlliance is responding to the Government's FE agenda' and added 'the FE workforce lies at the heart of the FE reforms to deliver a lifelong learning system that is world class, professionalised, flexible and responsive'.
The DCSF is keen to ensure that the FE community is as well prepared and supported as possible. The FEAlliance uniquely links all FE workers across the UK, giving access to a national framework of Further Education colleagues, resources and benefits.
The spokesperson for Ed Balls thanked the FEAlliance for its latest progress update and asked to be kept up to date with its work.
